Objectives
At the completion of this 2-hour video teleconference attendees
will be able to:
- Describe the metabolism and mechanisms of bone loss in older adults;
- Discuss the value of early detection of bone loss and methods for diagnosis;
- Relate the newest therapies and their mechanisms of action; and
- Select appropriate interventions for the treatment of osteoporosis.

Faculty:
Donald Lee Bodenner, MD, PhD is an Associate Professor of Geriatrics in the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics and a staff physician at the Geriatric Research and Education Clinical Center at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock. Dr. Bodenner is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He holds memberships in the Endocrine Society, American Federation of Clinical Research, American College of Physicians and American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.
