Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will:

  • Identify the causes of behavioral dyscontrol in patients with dementia
  • Be familiar with behavioral (non-pharmacologic) techniques to calm agitated patients with dementia
  • Be familiar with pharmacologic interventions, both acute and long term, to manage behavioral dyscontrol in patients with dementia
