AGEC partners with UAMS to offer two conferences each year. These conferences provide an opportunity for health care professionals to learn about health concerns of the aging population and network with other geriatric health care providers.

The APRN Geriatric Pharmacology Conference offers an opportunity to educate Advance Practice Registered Nurses and Pharmacists on clinical applications and pharmacokinetics of pharmacologic agents in older adults. Details coming soon.

The Geriatrics Long-Term Care Update Conference is an opportunity for health care providers who provide primary care to older Arkansans, particularly those who live in rural and medically-underserved areas, to learn effective clinical and non-clinical interventions for a variety of geriatric health conditions. Details on GLTC Update Conference will be posted soon.  

In addition, the AGEC sponsors an Alzheimer’s focused Geriatric Grand Rounds bi-annually. AGEC-sponsored GGR typically features a renowned expert who presents the latest research, clinical findings, and interventions related to Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias. Details on the next Geriatric Grand Rounds will be posted soon.
